Exquisite piece crafted by Italian Artisans using a traditional Florentine technique, which involves cutting the thin slices of Murano glass and placing each individual piece together into the gold-plated cross. The art and technique of byzantine mosaics have not changed since they were first made at the beginning of the 5th century in Ravenna, Italy. Each thread of brightly colored enameled glass is cut and attached to another to form the original and distinctive designs.
