The Butchart Gardens is looking for hardworking, energetic people to join our team. As one of the largest employers in the Saanich Peninsula, we employ hundreds of people during our peak summer season—some who’ve been with us for fifty years! Full-time and part-time seasonal opportunities in our front-line departments are available beginning in April, May and June. Seasonal employment opportunities are available in the following departments: Visitor Services: provides year-round services such as admission collection, traffic/parking control, information services and grounds maintenance. Seed & Gift Store: provides retail and inventory opportunities – all positions feature extensive product knowledge and courteous service standards – cashier and language skills an asset. Custodial: provides cleaning services which maintain high standards in visitor, staff and business office areas – including washrooms and garbage/recycle disposal. Food Services: three restaurants provide front-of-house and back-of-house opportunities – hosting, bussing, serving, dishwashing, food prep, cooking/baking. Gardening: provides seasonal garden maintenance tasks that maintain an award-winning floral display year-round – physical fitness a requirement.
