Staff and guest safety and health is our #1 priority: oceanisland.com/covid-19 JOB DESCRIPTION: - Welcoming guest arrivals and taking payments using our property management software. - Managing room reservations. - Providing information on our facilities and services as well as about Victoria and the surrounding area. - Helping to resolve any guest issues (as well as accepting lavish praise and compliments!). - Providing excellent customer service. ...and most importantly, providing a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for our guests. - Besides the front desk, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more advanced functions and responsibilities, such as evening front desk supervisor, etc. QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES: - Energetic and organized. - Experience in the service industry is essential. - Interest in learning more about the backpacker/ hotel/ hospitality industry. - Outgoing and friendly but can also be firm when dealing with people. - Able to work with minimal supervision.
