I'm selling my custom and beautiful turntable just for lack of use, I will be happy with a downgrade. Built around an excellent condition, non DJ'ed Technics SL1200 mk5. The SL1200 is built into a custom wood plinth with layers of sorbothane both between the Technics and the plinth, and sitting on sorbothane feet. It is extremely resistant to vibration. The plinth is lovely cosmetically, but if you were to pull it apart, the sub plinthdoes look homemade, not CnC cut. Tonearms: - The main tonearm - Jelco 750d - 9" - In a beautiful wood armboard made for the the Technics - Second tonearm - Sumiko MMT - Also made by Jelco Both arms have damping reservoirs tunable for the cartridge and are simply beautiful. Cartridges - Linn Adikt - Installed on the Jelco 750. This is my favorite MM cartridge I have tried. Determined in a shootout with a 2M Black and Grace F9, as well as some less expensive models. It is detailed and dynamic, but not harsh and noisy. Bought new and definitely less than 200 hours on it. - Denon DL103R. A great classic cartridge. Upgraded version of the original 103R. As smooth, warm, and pleasurable as any cartridge on the market. Also bought new, also definitely under 200 hours. Extras - Comes with a 3/16" copper platter matt. Takes every bit of ring out of the platter. I use it with a very thin cork matt on top. - Cables are both custom and well made. - Comes with an extra DIN cable with WBT RCA connectors - Dustcover is locally made with 3/16" acrylic. Excellent shape with only fine scratches. Not your typical dust cover. You'd have to jump on it to break it. - Comes with original box for the Jelco arm. - Comes with the original Technics feet.
