Looking to rehome my big, beautiful pig! My living situation has changed, and I can no longer keep her. I am looking to find her a good home where she can live out her days as a happy piggy. She has just turned 6 yrs old, her name is Sue, and she is a Duroc, Gloucestershire old spot, Berkshire cross, originally from North Qualicum. She has had two litters 11 each and is an excellent Mom. She is single electric wire trained, never gets out and is easy to handle. She is very healthy has great feet and is excellent at having her hooves trimmed. She is used to, and great with children, large groups and dogs. I’ve had a lot of pigs over the years and this one is extra special, she is very hardy, is an active rooter and knows how to take care of herself. She likes to spend time with her people, loves getting her back scratched, having long ‘conversations’ with her person and playing. Please email if you are interested or know someone who is! As I said I am looking for a good home and I am more than willing to teach someone the ins and outs of her care. Her feed for the month is about the same as a large dog and can be reduced with supplementation from other sources. She has a companion that could go with her or she would need another. Also please note Sue is a full-size sow weighing in at 1000lbs and measuring 6 ft from snout to rump!
