Grace Veterinary Hospital (www.gracevet.ca) is looking for a professional, hardworking, friendly individual with a passion for working with people and their pets. We are a well established, small neighborhood practice, located in Saanich on gorgeous Vancouver Island. We currently are a single vet practice. We are looking for a full time vet assistant. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. You would not have to work evenings/weekends. We truly believe in work/life balance, so overtime, missed lunches, and being called in on your days off is extremely rare. Job Duties: Provides exceptional client service and builds relationships with clients through service, respect, and professionalism. Efficiently and accurately performs clerical duties, schedules appointments, answers questions, and maintains front office and exam room flow. Routinely contributes to the cleanliness and organization of the practice, to ensure all guests leave with a lasting positive impression of the hospital. Greets, handles, and treats pets with kindness, compassion, patience, and competence Supports healthcare recommendations and helps educate clients on care or products that would enrich the life of their pet. Identifies questionable or missed fees, and ensures that owners meet all financial obligations. Assists in monitoring inventory of office supplies, prescription food and retail Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
