Our store is growing, and we are seeking the right person to join our pharmacy team. Hours are part-time, but could extend to full-time for the right candidate. As part of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Pharmacy Assistant’s duties will include (but are not limited to): Customer service Servicing the reception counter Cashier duties, telephone inquiries and general housekeeping duties. Operating the pharmacy computer and assisting in the processing of prescriptions and preparation of prescriptions. Ordering and receiving drug orders and management of the pharmacy inventory. The successful candidate will also have the following: Good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff, & management. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-starter with a high level of enthusiasm. Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs. Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment. Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach. Basic computer skills. Strong mathematical skills. Previous Pharmacy or health care experience. Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset. On-the-job training available for less qualified candidates.
