Are you interested in providing an inclusive and welcoming home for a young adult living with a developmental disability? He is looking for a roommate arrangement with another male where he would feel comfortable and at ease. He would appreciate your support and encouragement as he works to fine tune his independent living skills and pursues his educational and creative writing interests. He has a rich relationship with his family and friends and visits them often; he also hopes to secure part-time employment as the COVID restrictions continue to ease up. Home sharing offers an opportunity for a person with diverse abilities to become a member of your household and to share their unique abilities and expand on their strengths. It is more a chosen lifestyle than a job. It is a contracted position and you will receive remuneration for room/board as well as a monthly fee for support services based on guidelines set by Community Living B.C. These living arrangements are monitored on a regular basis and ongoing support and training is provided.
