The stairlift operates on two batteries which are charged whenever the stairlift is in the parked position (the extreme position, up or down at the end of the rail). The charger requires a 115 volt AC power supply. Instruction Manual is included. Stairlifts are designed for people with mobility limitations to get up and down the stairs safely.
