It has customizable, independent aircells inflated using the round black button at the top. The Airselects have the most advanced technology and are the most expensive of the Aircasts. The "Pneumatic" models with the separate hand bulb for inflating offer less support and are less expensive. The hand bulb is often missing. They look quite similar, so most people aren't aware of the difference. The Standard has a durable, semi-rigid shell that supports the limb while providing protection. Housed within the shell are two adjustable distal aircells that provide compression and support the malleoli, effective in fracture healing and managing edema (swelling). SoftStrike technology absorbs and dissipates shock, while the light weight and lab-tested rocker sole combine to encourage a natural gait and a continuation of everyday activities. Non-marking, skid resistant rubber tread for greater traction and longer wear.
