Raising funds for 5 year olds dental surgery

Hi, my name is Lindsay. My son, Jude, is 5 years old and needs dental surgery. Brushing and his daily mouth care haven't been enough to keep Jude's teeth from getting a mouth full of cavities. At 2 his teeth were showing signs of enamel problems, he ended up with black spots on his teeth while they were growing in. The dentist at that time told me just to keep brushing and what foods to keep Jude away from. Judes teeth are genetically unhealthy as well. I grew up having the same dental problems; my oldest son also. Jude now gets pain in his teeth sometimes and brushing daily and often isn't enough to keep the pain away. Jude ended up sick and in hospital repeatedly with ITP ( low platelets). Tooth brushing wasn't my first priority when he was sick. Jude is my fussiest child so the fish crackers among other foods I was told not to give him ended up being the only foods he would eat. After years of hospital stays and blood draws, he is now terrified of doctors and needles. He will need to be put under. The dentist takes healthy kids, but it won't cover the bill of over $4000. Healthy kids will pay half. I am a single mother to 3 kids. I raise Jude alone. I have been trying to save money monthly but it's going to take too long to save enough for him. I have tried fund raising by making chocolate Easter eggs, but that was a flop. It has been 3 months of trying to save, and I am not even close to being able to make an appointment for him. This is my last resort, which I am not proud of. However, I need to try to get a little more money for Jude's teeth to be capped and filled before they get worse.
