$1,000 · Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayak Skills: Quadra Island

March 28-31, 2023 The Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills program is designed to help paddlers build comfort and competence in more exposed waters and allow for improved boat handling and confident rescue and safety skills. With the goal of developing towards self-reliant paddlers, this program will improve upon our navigation skills and decision-making to allow for touring and play in more challenging waters. We will work to refine existing skills from the Level-1 program and introduce new skills including linking strokes into maneuvers, weather interpretation, paddling in currents and swell and an introduction to rolling. What's included: Accommodation at the Discovery Island Lodge, 4 full days of instruction by certified Paddle Canada instructor, certification upon successful completion of the course Location:  Victoria. We will adjust the exact location according to the weather. Prerequisites: Paddle Canada Level 1 skills or equivalent skills
