Amazing salmon fishing setup. I used four identical setups on my boat for several years. This one was my spare and it is the last thing to go after the sale of my boat. Technium Rods are specially engineered for the West Coast’s unique fishing requirements with TC4 construction and New Concept Fuji Alconite guides. This rod is a 10’6” medium power, slow action perfect for downrigging. Model number is TNC-M106M2. These rods are regularly priced at $199.00 plus taxes in local shops. They are the west coast standard for high end downrigger rods. The reel is a titanium coloured Trophy XL QR Mooching Reel. The Trophy Tyee QR is a premium, fully machined, mid arbour, single action saltwater salmon reel. Strong fish in the Tyee class, are easily controlled with a heavy duty one-way disc drag system and the reels mid arbour design make line retrieval faster. This reel was recently despoiled with hi-vis 20lb mono that has never been wet. Retail on the reel is usually $349.00 but they occasionally go on sale for $289.00. I pride myself on taking care of my gear and this package is in excellent condition. The reel has no dings, nicks, scratches or scrapes. The cork on the rod is i perfect condition and the rod itself is in perfect condition. As I said, this was my spare setup so it rarely got fished and don’t most of its life in the garage.
