Hairdresser Contract Opportunity Full or Part Time Days & hours of work – to be determined Victoria, BC Veterans Memorial Lodge -- long term care facility THE ROLE Veterans Memorial Lodge is currently looking to add a caring, passionate, and enthusiastic contracted part or full time hairdresser to our amazing home family. We all know how much a haircut and some grooming can make a difference in our lives and confidence. So imagine the difference it makes in the lives of our seniors! You will provide hair care services including cuts, roller sets, perms and colors to our senior residents, to keep them well groomed, beautiful, and cheerful! As the hairdresser with the Veterans Memorial Lodge team, you can help our residents experience the best service and quality care in their home. QUALIFICATIONS • Must have a British Columbia Hairdressing License • Liability insurance and coverage • Negative TB Screen • valid Criminal Records Check for vulnerable adults and children completed by the Criminal Record Review Program (processed with our Human Resources Department) • Proof of COVID-19 full vaccination is a condition of employment EXPERIENCE • Experience working with seniors in a nursing home community. • Experience and a professional demeanor with senior women and men's hair care, including cuts, roller sets, perms and colors. • Must be patient, compassionate, and have an outgoing personality. SKILLS & ABILITES • Ability to organized, schedule and maintain appointments • Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygienic procedures • Provide quality and meaningful services to better the lives of our seniors • You feel pride and fulfillment knowing you are making an impact!
