Do you feel your child has missed some core language patterns skills? Can s/he recognize and apply spelling patterns (phonics) to his/her reading and writing? Or, are you worried that, with no handwriting instruction in school anymore, that your child will never develop a smooth, fast and efficient way of writing? Is your child's pencil grip and printing a bit of a worry? I am a very experienced teacher (Canadian and International Primary and Secondary, as well as Elementary Grades Montessori) who is offering tutoring in these areas in my home over the school year. I know how to make this fun and I promise results that will set a strong foundation for future studies! I live in the View Royal (think 4 Mile Pub) area and have a separate, sunny room. $35 an hour for the instruction hour, which of includes lesson prep time and the provision of homework.
