$22 · Pack leader wanted for busy off-leash dog hiking business

Busy off-leash West Shore dog hiking company is seeking a calm, confident pack leader, who has previous experience working with dogs. The ideal candidate will have worked in a group environment such as a daycare, kennel, veterinary office or off-leash dog hiking company, but we are willing to train the perfect candidate. You will be responsible for managing up to 8 dogs at a time on an off-leash wilderness hike. Hikes are two hours in length. This position is full-time with on the job training. You must: Have a clean, valid Class 5 driver's license Have a clean criminal record Have experience with dogs, body language, behaviour Be able to physically control up to 8 dogs at a time Be physically fit, able to hike 2+ hours over uneven terrain, rain or shine Be responsible, reliable and able to work independently Be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 830 and 430 Ideally live in or near the West Shore Have a cell phone (preferably smartphone) Compensation starts at $22/h after an approximately three week training period. Extended medical and dental benefits are available after six months, as well as semi-annual performance reviews, and guaranteed wage increases to match inflation.
