Job description Infant Toddler specialist or Early childhood Educator wanted for a small classroom of 12 (12-36mth olds) at our 5229 Sooke Road location, location right on the bus route. We are also part of the wage enhancement program that includes the $4.00 top up to $27.00 an hour Key Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in assessment, goal setting and program planning. Documents and implements the plan. Provides input into the evaluation of the program. Administers medication to individuals in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained. Provides written and/or verbal reports regarding individuals’ daily activities and progress. Ensures that all required documentation is complete and accurate. Models for the child how to engage in activities and tasks .Staff need to be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Performs other related duties as required. Is familiar with (through regular review) policies, procedures, individual protocols and care plans. Contribute to team effectiveness through clear and direct communication and participation in staff meetings. Comfortable and willing to work in a group childcare facility with children 1 to 3 years of age. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Grade 12 plus post secondary training in child care or a related field of up to one (1) year. A minimum of six (6) months of recent related experience working with infants/toddlers or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Criminal Record Check for Children and Vulnerable Adults (Local and Provincial) - Clearance -Employer will assist with this process Clear Health Certificate Valid First Aid and CPR certification Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $27.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: COVID policies in place regarding health screening, sanitizing, masks, and parents inside facility.
