Qualifications: - Training provided if you would like to work in childcare -A valid Early Childhood Education Certificate and license to practice (in accordance with the Child Care Regulation) -A valid safety oriented first aid certificate -A criminal record check clearance letter Job Summary: Almosthome is looking for a Full time ECE/IT/ECEA with a valid license to practice. We are looking for a caregiver to provide quality, inclusive child care services for young children in a group setting under the direction of the centre’s Senior Early Childhood Educator/Center Manager. Almosthome Childcare has seven locations in Greater Victoria and we offer a full day Kindergarten readiness program for children 1-5 years of age. We offer an emergent curriculum and look for employees that work well creatively as well as independently. Plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote the well-being of each child and that respect and reflect the diverse needs of children. 2. Individualize the curriculum and ensure that all activities are accessible. 3. Ensure guidance of children's behaviour that encourages positive self concept. 4. Ensure the child care environment is healthy and safe for all children. 5. Ensure positive communication with enrolling parents/legal guardians. 6. Contribute to the ongoing operation of the centre.
