$19 · Supported Child Development Aide - Out of school Care

The Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre is currently looking for a Supported Child Development Aide for our Out of School Care facility in Belmont Park. This is a supported care term position funded by VIHA, working Monday-Friday with required shifts between 6:30 am-9:00 am and 2:00 pm-5:30 pm during the 2021-2022 school year (September to June). The rate of pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Personal transportation is recommended due to limited bus service. This position requires at least 20 hours of childcare-related education in areas such as child development, health, safety, nutrition, or guidance. Suitable applicants must also be 19 years of age, hold valid first aid certification, and have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Understanding of the military lifestyle, excellent interpersonal and communication skills where you’re at ease interacting with parents, community members, and fellow staff daily would be considered an asset.
