Myla - Boxer Dog

Myla is a wonderful boxer cross that is bouncy and playful when interacted with. Myla was surrendered when her guardian could no longer care for her and was unable to find another home for her. Myla prefers playing with smaller dogs, she was once attacked by a large dog and needed emergency veterinary care so she is now frightened of rude greeters and large dogs. Myla has lived with kids without issue, she is very tolerant once she feels safe in her environment. Myla can be shy with new people and will sometimes bark at them but can be quickly calmed down with a treat. But once you have earned her trust, she will pretend to be a lapdog and will want to crawl into your lap and make herself right at home. Myla is a high energy dog and will need a home that is able to provide her with ample exercise! She will need an owner that can tire her out before leaving her home alone as she will be the most relaxed once she's gotten appropriate exercise. Myla isn't the largest Boxer but she sure is mighty! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest. The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday - Saturday, 1 - 4 pm and will use the following priority system: (1) pre-booked visits; (2) in-person applications; (3) online applications.
