60 year old Vintage String Holder I Hate Housework Lady In Apron from Japan 1940's. A sweet vintage lady wearing an apron that says I hate house work. She is a string holder, the string comes out through the front at the top of her apron. On the top of her head is an opening to hold scissors to use to cut the string. She is made from paper mache and hand painted. Please hover over the photo's to view close up. It is stamped on the back Japan. She can sit on the counter or hang on the wall. She measures almost 5 3/4 inches tall and just over 3 1/2 inches wide across the widest part of the back. She has some cracks on each side and it looks like it was glued at some point. Still in very good condition for 60 years old.
