Help wanted : Fabricator and Laborer

Premium Living Victoria Fabricator and Laborer Company Description As a small locally owned company, each employee is like one of the family. We offer a wide range of products for homes and businesses from retractable screens, custom window screens and patio screens, awnings, pergola covers, scissor gates, residential and commercial garage doors, driveway gates and repairs. Job Description Reporting to the Shop Lead and General Manager while working closely with the customer service team and technicians, your main responsibilities will be fabricating/repairing window screens, patio screen doors and preparing retractable screens from provided measurements or samples. You will also assist the technicians with installs for our larger products. Keeping the shop clean, stocked and organized is also a top priority in this role. This will start as a part-time/casual position moving to full-time by June with guaranteed full-time hours to the end of August. In September it will go pack to part-time/casual depending on customer orders and installs. Office hours are M-F 8:00-4:30 but some evening or weekend work may be available to work with a school schedule. Requirements  Valid BC Driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract  Grade 12 education preferred  Bondable and pass a Police background check.  Experience with power & hand tools  Physically fit as heavy lifting is required  Effective attention to details  Quick thinker and problem solver  High degree of accuracy  Strong worth ethic  Double Vaccinated for COVID-19 Recommended Skills:  Understanding of imperial measurement  Fundamental carpentry/fabrication skills  Reading installation/fabrication diagrams  Dexterity  Friendly and outgoing  Good communications and customer service skills
