Inside Specialty Sales - Paints

Slegg Building Materials Keating is currently seeking a Full-Time Inside Specialty Sales – Paint team member to work Sunday 9am - 4pm and Monday - Thursday   9am-5:30pm. The wage range is $17-$20 per hour, based on experience. THE LOCATION -   Saanichton We are located on Keating Cross Road in the commercial district of Saanichton which is on the Saanich Peninsula of Greater Victoria. THE RESPONSIBILITIES -Assist customers in selecting paint and sundries -Tint and match paint products -Greet and assist customers with purchases, provide suggestions and recommendations in all departments -Prepare orders by processing requests; pull accurate materials and place in appropriate area for customer pick up -Be a source of knowledge and willing to learn about new building and home improvement materials -Provide project quotes, enter delivery orders/special orders and assist in purchasing -Build strong customer relationships through reliable call backs, follow up on deliveries, and awareness of project time line to foresee material needs -General housekeeping duties and general stocking of merchandise as required -Communicate with the shipping department to ensure delivery schedules and instructions are met -Help with inventory for department -Other duties assigned by management THE REQUIREMENTS -A broad knowledge of commercial paint -Detail orientated with disciplined work habits -Strong safety background -Minimum two years sales experience -Effective communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak in English -Strong computer skills -Customer-service focused -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
