Painter - Top Quality Coatings

Top Quality Coatings Ltd is locally owned and is one of the largest painting companies serving Victoria and the Capital region. We are inviting painters and apprentices to apply for our 2023 season and beyond. With a large number of commercial exterior projects booked through the spring, summer, and fall. Painting experience is preferred, but we are also happy to train the right candidates. About the job: Seasonal and permanent positions available Semi-monthly paydays Full-time (40 hours) per week Surface preparation (power washing, sanding, scuffing, puttying, caulking, masking, priming etc.) Painting with brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Site and tool cleanup. Outdoor and indoor work, work at heights accessed by either ladders or lifts. About you: Willing and able to commute and work at a variety of commercial & residential jobsites in Greater Victoria. Willing to work with a crew in a production focused and respectful work environment. Comfortable working indoors, outdoors and at heights. Positive attitude and willingness to work hard, learn, and grow. Previous painting experience preferred. Attentive to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Organized and able to follow-through on the task at hand. Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of client’s needs and job processes. We develop our painters and promote from within – most of our foremen got their first painting experience with us. We build long-lasting relationships founded on mutual trust and respect. Top Quality Coatings has the knowledge and experience to handle the most complex commercial paintjobs. We own many of our own lifts for site-access and provide training on their safe usage. We have a large number of commercial contracts in Victoria and the surrounding area. Applicants should be ready to start work in Mid-March and have a good solid work ethic and a desire to learn.
