We are looking for skilled Pipelayers to join our team that share our passion for people and our core values. Don Mann makes everyone feel like family, and your job as the Pipelayer would be to help build the foundations of civilization by installing underground infrastructure. Key Qualifications · A minimum of 2+ years' experience preparing and installing underground pipelines for drain, water, sewer, hydro, telephone, etc. · Previous construction experience beneficial. · Valid BC Drivers' license. · First Aid training preferred. Key Duties · Installs water, sanitary sewer, storm water, and Hydro/Telephone/Cable pipes, structures and pipe systems. · Lays out pipe routes, following specifications or civil plans. · Checks slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers. · Cuts pipes to required lengths, positions and aligns pipes during pipeline construction and prepares them for fusing or installation. · Connects pipe pieces and seal joints using fusing equipment, cement, glue or pipe soap. · Taps and drills holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices. · Grades and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
