The trio will celebrate the release of their album, Play Nice, at TD JazzFest 2023. KATE WYATT QUARTET SATURDAY, JUNE 24 ~ 7PM $32 (service charges may apply) Originally from Victoria BC, pianist/composer Kate Wyatt is now considered one of the top-tier jazz musicians in Montreal. With her passion for improvisation and innovation, you won’t want to miss Kate Wyatt and her quartet live! FLORIAN HOEFNER TRIO SUNDAY, JUNE 25 ~ 7PM $32 (service charges may apply) Florian Hoefner is an award-winning jazz pianist and composer. Since 2018, Hoefner has worked with Andrew Downing (bass) and Nick Fraser (drums). They were nominated for a 2021 JUNO and won the 2023 JUNO for “Jazz Album of the Year: Group.” BREKKY BOY MONDAY, JUNE 26 ~ 7PM $32 (service charges may apply) Sydney-based trio Brekky Boy creates an original sound that incorporates elements of jazz, electronic, rock and soundtrack. The Montreux Jazz Award nominees have sold out shows across Australia, as well as touring internationally. GENTIANE MG TRIO TUESDAY, JUNE 27 ~ 7PM $32 (service charges may apply) Jazz pianist Gentiane MG is influenced by impressionist and romantic classical styles. Her trio won the 2017 François-Marcaurelle de la GMMQ Award, the 2018 CBC/Radio-Canada Jazz Award, and the 2020 OPUS Award for Discovery of the Year. WILL BONNESS QUINTET WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28 ~ 7PM $39 (service charges may apply) Winnipeg-based Will Bonness was the 2022 JUNO winner for “Jazz Album of the Year (solo)”, and “Jazz Artist of the Year”. With an international career, Bonness has accompanied on almost 30 albums. Catch his quintet live at TD JazzFest 2023! CAITY GYORGY THURSDAY, JUNE 29 ~ 7PM $39 (service charges may apply) Canadian singer Caity Gyorgy (pronounced George) performs bebop and swing across North America. She won the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the jazz category, then won the 2022 and 2023 JUNOs for “Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.” BARBRA LICA FRIDAY, JUNE 30 ~ 7PM $39 (service charges may apply) Toronto-based, JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter and producer Barbra Lica was named one of Canada's top upcoming female jazz artists. With her 2022 EP, Imposter Syndrome, Lica combines elements of folk, R&B, indie pop, and jazz.
