NOW HIRING PART-TIME FRONT-END RECEPTION TEAM! Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop - a modern, luxury-oriented, full-service barbershop with a 1930's Chicago feel. As reception, you will be responsible for front-end operations of the shop including retail, maintaining a clean shop environment, and opening/closing the shop. These responsibilities are integral for shop operation – you are a very important part of our team! Key attributes: Ability to work by yourself, time management, reliability, tech savvy, customer service & retention skills, ability to multitask, sales skills (services + retail), observant, team-player, organized, works well in a fast-paced environment, problem solving skills Previous experience in a public-facing reception job, great customer service skills and willingness to learn, grow and achieve goals is valued. Training provided. Job responsibilities include: Opening and closing the shop Booking clients through the phone and replying to clients booking through the online application. Selling services to clients. Maintaining the queue with appropriate times as well as appointments for individually requested barbers Maintaining an orderly and clean shop environment, doing laundry Selling retail personal grooming products, knowledge of grooming products (will train) Troubleshooting issues as they arise, maintaining client relationships & satisfaction Maximizing barber & shop revenue by maintaining awareness of happenings in the service area (barbers finishing early/late etc.) and making adjustments on the fly Scheduling: 5/8 hour shifts - 18-20 hrs/week Daytime Flexible scheduling Holiday/Weekend availability required $17.00/hour, commissions on all retail sales included Applications in-person accepted and encouraged.
