Admin Assistant

***Hiring Notice*** Medix EMS is looking for a Part Time Admin Assistant to join our team! We are looking for a skilled Admin Assistant to join our rag tag group of medical professionals to help with the influx of work and operations. This is a permanent position that will focus on keeping our head office running smoothly and efficiently. The position is steeped in the first aid world, so having a first aid background is an asset but we are happy to train up the right candidate. We are looking for a motivated person who has a strong background in administration and eager to help build a strong brand. This is a Tuesday to Friday job where you will be working normal business hours (0900-1700) but we are flexible because we know life happens. This job is located in Sidney. This position is perfect for people with a background in MOA or has experience in medium sized office administration. Ultimately we are looking for a person that has a passion for helping build a small business and understands the challenges of a fast paced company that is always pushing ahead. Commitment: 4 days a week, 8 hours per shift. Skills we are looking for: - Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Word - Working with bookkeeping software, primarily Quickbooks, some Sage 50 knowledge certainly an asset - Interacting with clients both in person and on the phone, - Ensuring paperwork is filed and dealt with quickly, - Scheduling of work and staff, - Basic sales to potential clients, - General light housekeeping, - Answering phones and emails, Wage: $20.52 p/hr - and above based on experience.
