$1,500 · Custom High Efficiency JBL and B&C Horn Speakers - With DCX2496 Crossover

I have an addiction making speakers, wanted to try some high efficiency drivers, so made these. They sound absolutely amazing, much smoother than you would think and with dynamics for days. These do not have a passive crossover so come with a Behringer DC2496 Crossover. You would need 6 channels of amplification, or could purchase my ART SLA1 and SLA4 separately (not included in the price, for $350). The drivers are: - JBL 2226H in custom larger ported cabinets. Pretty cool looking but not full on spray booth furniture grade. Very heavy though with 1.75" thick baffles. Well built and braced. Covered in black solid core arborite on the sides and finished baltic birch for the backs. Speakon connector. Bought these used. - JBL 2445J midrange compression driver and horn. These fit into the open baffle (they don't really radiate back) setup. Direct wired. They work properly and measure the same. I installed new aftermarket diaphragms a couple of months ago. Bought these used. - B&C DE250 Compression drivers with horns. The premier tweeter for projects like this. Widely regarded as having some of the best specs and sound at almost any price. These tweeters/Horns fit in the open baffle and then can be switched to the sealed midrange box. I bought these new.
