Windows 7 end of life READ BEFORE YOU PAY****

I had to make an account here seeing all the posts on end of life upgrades being sold here and felt you the public should know one things before you buy. First and for most posts that require you to have windows 7 are most likely using the free (but allegedly discontinued) service offered by Microsoft. I personally upgraded my windows 7 ", 2 months ago. There are other things to consider too. If your system came with windows 7 pre installed your software licence is most likely OEM (original equipment manufacturer) this is a volume licence. That means one code unlocks (n) computers and is only supposed to be installed at build time. This licence cannot be transferred to a different computer, virtual environment Or even a new motherboard. Otherwise your licence is considered retail which means you can load it on other computers. When doing a system upgrade your licence is transferred as is. That means if you have retail it stays retail and if you have oem your upgrade is oem. So if your buying an upgrade be sure to ask if they're doing a licence upgrade or a retail install. Also if your windows 7/8 is pro version your upgrade will also be pro version. Upgrade process is :

To find your product key (if you don't have it written down or on CD case or laptop) you can find your key by Opening the start menu typing in cmd.exe to the search bar right clicking on the icon and select run as administrator. Thing will bing up the command line. From there type:
wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
Then hit enter and your product key should pop up
To define out if your version is retail or oem while still in the Cmd line type:
