$7 · What is this shrub/tree? It could be a flowering crab apple.

Three weeks ago I dug up this "foreign" tree/shrub from our garden. It is over 3 feet tall. As you can see from one of the photos the shrub is growing from a very sturdy root which may have come from a neighbor's flowering tree. The copper coloured leaves are beginning to unfold and IF it is from the tree behind us, pink flowers will follow. It has been sitting in a bucket of water for 2 - 3 weeks.. I thought it was an apple tree but it has multiple branches. Is anyone interested in buying the mystery tree/bush/shrub? The funds will be donated through The Victoria Foundation and forwarded to Victoria Cool Aid to help the homeless in Victoria.
