We are Hiring a Baker at Township Coffee Co

Coffee, Food, Love! Experience specific to baking and food handing training is less important for this roll than a sincere enjoyment of food, and food preparation, as well as care about food and the community we serve. While baking, food prep experience, and education, are assets, and preferred; integrity, reliability, accountability, and professionalism are of the highest importance to our small, Love-based business. Coffee Food Love is the message on our sign, and aprons, and that sums up what we are up to in our little Gordon Head shop. So, the ideal candidate will also be interested in upholding our intentions of connection, kindness, nurturance, and excellence in our respective crafts. It would be ideal if the baking candidate has a food safe certification, or can get it presently. Our ideal baker will be available to work Monday to Thursday at 6am for baking, and prep, as well as helping to manage stock, and supplies. Some lived-experience with managing supplies, from a variety of suppliers is a real asset. Some flexibility is possible with the schedule, but this is the general format for the posted position. Our new baker will be a person who can work in collaboration with other team members, and communicate effectively and kindly with others. Ideally, they can take direction, and learn new systems, as well as be able to take initiative when appropriate, work efficiently independently, and manage their work load autonomously, once they are fully trained-up, and running. We have historically hired with preference for people who live in our community, we have found them to be more invested, and more likely to be on time with our early starts. We are located at 4343 Tyndall Rd. in Gordon Head, we are open Monday-Friday 07:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, open 08:00am-5:00pm.
