Note: this requires that you're open to learning songs on an ongoing basis and then trying them out at a local jam the same week. I'm an experienced singer/electric guitarist (approximately 800 paid gigs) with a drummer and an occasional keyboardist, looking for a bass player who lives in Greater Victoria. It involves getting together a couple of times every week, mainly for the love of playing music and to keep up our chops and attend weekly jams. Right now we practise in Oak Bay with a fill-in bassist on Tuesday nights, and attend bar jams either Thursday nights or Sunday afternoons. It would be great if you have space for band rehearsal at your home, but not a dealbreaker. Please have live experience; be proficient on your instrument; not ultimately reliant on charts; and into roots rock, Heartland rock, R & B, rock n roll, and blues. No hard rock or metal. It would be nice to have a steady rhythm section to work on songs with, and attend jams and do the occasional paid gig if they come our way. I have a repertoire of about 80 tunes that I keep adding to. I'm looking for someone who has the time and inclination to make music a priority in their life. Thanks.
