We are sad to say that one of our lovely educators has to move away to help care for her parents. Are you an early childhood educator? Do you want to be an integral part of planning an enriched program for the children? What do you enjoy? Story telling? Art? Math? Science? Art? Yoga? Cooking? Construction? Photography? Drama? Building community? Growing vegetables? etc. etc. Come share your enthusiasm and interests with the families and staff at Cedar! We have been running as a non-profit child care center since 1979! We are licensed for 16 children. We enjoy the sense of community here, as some of our parents volunteer as board members. Our families feel empowered to incorporate their traditions and ideas into their children's education. We spend a lot of time outside with the children, going for walks on the nearby trails, and incorporating natural elements and horticulture into our program. We plan our programming around the children's interests, as well as the strengths and interests of our educators. We are looking to collaborate with someone who enjoys actively playing a role in helping children build their self worth, build respectful relationships, and most of all, help them have happy days. We are offering 20$-$22/h, 40/h week, 5 sick days/year, two paid weeks off/year, 4% holiday pay as well as the ECE wage enhancement. We also have a reliable substitute ECE on call.
