WANTED: Motivated musicians for new original rock/prog

This is a new all-original project from the ground up. The main goal is to find musicians who are serious about working together on a regular basis. This has been brewing for a while now and at this point there is a solid core of two people, guitar and drums, both in our 40's. The two of us have great chemistry, both personal and musical. We are trying to build on that into a complete group by adding bass, vocals, another guitar perhaps, or keys. So far nothing musically is set in stone, but style wise some influences that keep coming up are Porcupine Tree, Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Dream Theater, Mars Volta... having the energy of rock, with the challenge and freedom of prog. We have a fully stocked studio close to downtown. Commitments include jamming once a week together at the studio, putting in more time on your own between jams, working towards goals like playing live, recording, and some short-term touring adventures (USA? Europe? Japan?). We'd like to hear from anyone that is interested. We are looking for the right attitude, ability to invest time, and musical chemistry. Please send us samples of you playing, ideally with live video. We will respond with some jam recordings of auditions so far.
