$100 · Victoria Cactus & Succulent Society seeks guest speakers

The Victoria Cactus & Succulent Society is actively recruiting guest speakers wanting to do a presentation at club meetings. The speaker's topic does not have to be about cactus & succulent plants, but should tie into the theme of growing cactus & succulent plants. Example 1. A speaker does a presentation on mycorrhizal fungi in soil. Mycorrhizal fungi live on the roots of plants and enhance the plants health. The presenter talks about how plant growers can add mycorrhizal fungi to the soil of their plants. (The topic is not about Cactus & Succulents, but it is information C&S growers can use to help their cactus & succulent plants.) Example 2 A speaker does a presentation on carnivorous plants. He/she discusses all kinds of carnivorous plants, but spends 20 mins of 1 hour to discuss how some store water for use during the dry season. In other words carnivorous succulents. Example 3. A speaker does a presentation on starting cactus & succulents from seeds & cuttings. There is an honorarium of $100 for 1 hour. For questions contact email below.
