The Vancouver Island Soccer League (VISL) is looking to build a new home. 2 Turf fields and meeting room at Spectrum High School. A project that will cost $3.4 million. Provincial & Federal support may cover up to 66%, leaving us with $1.2 million to come up with via fundraising and usage partnerships. Besides soccer, other community sports also struggle to participate when we get a lot of rain. Rain is part of the West Coast, so we need to plan and build accordingly. Soccer alone has an Island reach of more than 20,000 participants. Add in baseball/softball, lacrosse, football, ultimate - there are many community groups that will benefit from this asset - including our First Nations supporters, Kids Sport, and more. We need the communities help in order to provide fields to continue long traditions of sport on the Island. See our website, and donate if you can, or contact us for further conversation.
