You will have the responsibility of executing menu items in a timely manner, providing support to your teammates and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Responsibilities: *Writing daily prep lists for your station *Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required *Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by VIHA, to include appropriate labeling *Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers *Other duties as required Qualifications: *1 + year experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment *Ability to identify and prioritize daily tasks *A strong passion for food *A positive and professional attitude *Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines *Basic knife skills *Food Safe Level 1 an asset *Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business *The desire for growth and opportunity At Uptown Bistro , we believe our people are what makes us great.
