Hello! My name is Kiara and I am a third year music education major / psychology minor student at UVic available to tutor students from K-10 in all subjects, as well as certain subjects grades 11-12 and post-secondary. I am also available for exam/test prep, essay writing/editing skills, and oral presentation and pitching skills. My areas of expertise are music theory and English literature! I have 4.5 years of one-on-one tutoring experience, as well as 3 years of teaching experience with a variety of ages and subjects, including: - English / reading / writing / language arts up to AP English Literature and first year university/college level (including Canadian Literature) - Intermediate/Advanced ESL - Math up to pre-calculus 11 - AP Computer Science A (equivalent to first year university/college; the languages I am most fluent in are Java and Javascript) - General psychology up to first year university/college level (including AP Psychology and Introduction to Abnormal Psychology) - Music theory up to and including second year university/college level (including AP Music Theory and RCM theory) - Western Music History (university/college/Conservatory level) I also have experience working with students of diverse learning needs! Flexible hours and rate depending on level / age. Sessions are 45-60 minutes depending on age and learning needs. I offer an initial 15-30 minute session for free to go over learning goals and make sure we'll be a good fit together!
