Three vintage celluloid presentation boxes. Celluloid was the first synthetic plastic, developed in the 1860s.
Left to right:
1. 1920s-30s Watch Presentation Box. Cream coloured, floral pattern on lid. On inside lid: "Nelson Jewelry Co., 408 Riverside Ave, Spokane, WN". On outside bottom of box "Made in USA".
2. 1940s 'French Ivory' (Celluloid) Rectangle Trinket Box. Initials "EL" in blue script on the outside lid. Removable tray inside, lined with red velvet. On outside bottom: "French Ivory". Lid is slightly warped.
3. 1920s-30s Necklace Presentation Box. Cream coloured, with diamond quilt pattern on outside lid, and silky fabric cushion inside. On inside lid: "Miss Mignon by Speidel". On outside bottom of box: "CB [logo] Pat. Pending".
