This is the perfect opportunity to finish up those incomplete projects that you've been hoarding! Share projects and ideas with other sewists and get advice in a fun relaxed atmosphere. You must have basic sewing machine skills to join our Monthly Sewcial as the format is not set up like a formal class or workshop. You are welcome to use our scissors and tools while you are here, but you will need to bring along or purchase thread for the sewing machines. Our sewing studio features 6 Janome 3120QCD machines which feature 60 stitches including 6 one-step buttonholes. Janome's Exclusive Superior Plus Feed System ensures even, stable feeding with any fabric. And the time saving features including memorized needle up/down, one hand needle threader, and lock stitch button make sewing easy. One of the most amazing features of this sewing machine is the pedal free sewing option. This machine has a start/stop button, which makeS sewing much easier for both children and people with disabilities. We also have sergers and coverstitch machines (previous experience required). We have a collection of dressmaking & separates patterns as well as lingerie, childrenswear and loads of accessories projects which you can use during your time at The Makehouse.
