20 hrs per week. Mon-Fri 10am-2pm (Please note the salary above is base salary and renumeration is flexible based on experience and credentials. Teaching degree not needed but higher education required.) Teacher can be anywhere within Canada and we can hold class online over zoom. You must have appropriate technology to support online schooling. School year starts last week of August but we are looking now so all paper work, criminal record check etc and contract can be completed before school starts. We are looking for a Home School Teacher for our wonderful 16 year old daughter with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1(to understand more about this condition go to www.curesma.org). Here's a chance to teach a very bright, funny, adventurous young woman utilizing technology to communicate and learn. Our daughter attends SelfDesign and is on the regular school track. Since las March (2020) we have taught over zoom which has worked really well and offers the teacher flexibility. The teacher will be expected to teach all subjects in the curriculum. The position is 4 hrs. a day from 10 to 2 pm Mon-Fri, Sept. June. We also have the ability to carry on through the summer months.
