Store Associate We are a locally owned and operated company in Victoria that offers it's associates an opportunity to interact with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts of a diverse range of sports and recreational activities! The Company: Sports Rent/Coastal Ski + Sport is a sporting goods retail and rental shop, specializing in skiing, cycling, surfing, disc golf and much more. Sports Rent has been in Victoria since 1989 and recently expanding itself into Coastal Ski + Sport, our retail division. The Position: We are looking for an associate with retail and/ or rental experience and a desire to learn! The responsibilities of the store associate are as followed: - Greeting customers in a timely, professional fashion, determining their needs, responding to questions and providing outstanding customer service. - Operating the POS program and completing rental contracts accurately. - Directing customers to merchandise and informing and making suggestions to enhance their experience. - Increasing sales in retail and rental programs. - Thorough product knowledge - Maintaining sales floor appearance and processing rental inventory. - Assisting the supervisor and managers accordingly Why Should You Apply? - Experience in your field of expertise! - Opportunity to talk all day about the sports you love to do! - Fast paced, positive environment. - Potential for future advancement. - Participate in an employee purchase program for your new sporting goods! - Monthly bonus program! Requirements: - Either currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or have had some post-secondary education. - Outdoor recreation retail/rental experience. - Experience in the hospitality/tourism industry - Familiar with the ski/surf/bicycle/hiking industry or have real-world experience with these sports - Maintaining a positive attitude and a focus on customer satisfaction in a fast paced environment. - The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift boxes <45Lbs boxes and equipment.
