Sterling - Domestic Medium Hair Cat

Shelter: BC SPCA - Victoria Animal ID: 492187 Birthdate: July 12, 2010 - Senior Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Sweet Sterling is still getting settled at the Victoria branch, this handsome boy is quite the catch! Sterling is ok with kids, cats, and dogs (though he won't cuddle with pups!), his only ask for his new home is to provide him with lots of outside time. This can be by letting him be an indoor/outdoor cat (wearing a tagged collar of course!) or by taking him for leashed walks. Sterling is harness trained and used to walking for 60-90 minutes a day. One of Sterling's favourite pass times in his prior home was to put his harness on, tie his leash to the porch, and wander around in the morning sun while his mom enjoyed her tea. He's hoping his new guardian will also indulge him in this daily ritual. Sterling supposedly enjoyed having visitors over in his previous home, and while he wasn't quite a lap cat, he was very social. Sterling does over-groom himself when stressed, so despite his curious nature, his new guardian will need to help him lead a stress free life. This can be done with the assistance of special food, medications, and maintaining he has familiar items in his surroundings, such as his litter box, his usual litter type, his toys, his water fountain, and so on. Right now Sterling is still getting used to the shelter, he hopes his stay won't be long, but for now we will give him time to open up.
