Regent Christian Online Academy is currently seeking Special Education Assistants (SEAs) to work in classroom & community environments with high school students with special needs. Positions involve a variety of hours per week, individual to each student, starting September; wage is discussed upon successful application. The SEA will attend face to face classes with some of the students on Wednesdays and Fridays and occasional field trips and school activities. The SEA must be able to provide own transportation. These positions would suit Christian individuals who have a caring nature and experience working with youth. Special needs or behaviours background and a willingness to be flexible is necessary. Experience with learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, and/or autism is an asset but those with related experience or training, and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
