$1,200 · Solo Clipper Packer Canoe

I have a lightly used solo PACKER canoe from Clipper Canoes that I bought new several years ago - locally made in BC! New, it sells for $1600.00. It has always been stored out of sunlight and weather. It has been fitted with stainless steel grommets for strapping down gear. It also has a custom made 2-part (front and back of seat) navy blue Gortex cover with built-in map case holder to help reduce wind drag that straps onto the grommets. Fibreglass construction Colour: Red ! :) The Packer is really fun to paddle. I like to paddle it kayak style and am able to to that given it's smaller size. It is designed for the paddler to sit. With an adjustable foot brace and plastic molded tractor-style seat the need for a kneeling paddling position can be avoided - your knees and back will thank you. However, I must admit it tracks even better when you are kneeling in front of the seat and I never have had any back issues even on some decent crossings. It is easy to lift on to car top racks. I am an older 5'5" female and I can lift it by myself when needed. It is quick to turn when leaned on its side and very stable, especially when loaded with some gear. This model is suited for a wide range of paddlers, from 50 lbs to 240 lbs. If you keep your total load is under 400 lbs, it is a super "medium duty" canoe for weekend camping trips or a bit longer.
