Bedframe and headboard is made of solid wood in a nice, dark colour (sorry, can't identify the type). Box under frame (unseen) is particle board. Headboard has four partitions ideal for books, etc. Surface has light wear but no gouges or chips. Solid construction with thick walls. No shifting or loose joints once assembled.
