Perennial flowering herb spreads via underground runners from small rhizomes. 3-5 delicate white flowers with yellow centers borne on ~ 3ft. stalk emerge in early spring, above heart-shaped leaves lightly scalloped edges and purple undersides. The foliage will persist and proliferate after flowering, with clumps spreading to form a rich swath of pale green into the summer. The leaves are waxy and collect small pools of water after a rain. This will grow in part sun to part shade, evenly moist soil in warm weather. No fuss, it will grow under trees, between rocks etc. once established. First photo shows a mass of snow poppies in the forefront, bordered by Hostas with a backdrop of Sword Ferns. Plants are ~ 1ft. tall in 4" round pots for 7$. GLG.
