An insanely good refractor. I am only selling because I moved up to a 120ED. (caught aperture fever) This particular scope is the ideal for many as it is light enough for very easy handling, yet bright and long enough for incredible views. As an FPL53 ED doublet it is very well corrected - not quite a triplet APO, but close! And much lighter. My scope is several years old, but in almost perfect condition and identical to the current 100ED "evostar" I linked to (at $1310) but for a difference in accessories and focuser. Frankly, I prefer the lovely smooth rack and pinion focuser of mine over the crayford types currently in vogue. I am primarily a Lunar Imager... and this scope gave my one of my best ever results on my first night with it. To use it, you will need a mount, tripod and eyepieces.
