**SOLD OUT** Silent Auction for Discovery School Playground!

**EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT** On March 1st, Discovery School parents and staff will be hosting a silent auction at Mo:Le Restaurant in Langford to raise funds to upgrade our aging playground. At this time our children have very little usable equipment. Please buy a ticket and come to our event! Tickets are $15 each (includes appies and a drink). This is an adult only event. For over 40 years Discovery School has provided a much needed sanctuary for children with learning difficulties. Discovery School is a non-profit school which specializes in meeting the needs of the learning disabled. With specially trained and qualified staff, the school presents each child with a full day, individualized program using special remedial techniques and strategies. Many of the students also receive one on one learning assistance, occupational therapy, vision training and speech therapy. In a quiet, focused, and nurturing atmosphere students are encouraged towards academic development, perseverance, co-operation, responsibility, and organization. Discovery School follows BC curriculum, is Ministry inspected, currently accepts 75 students, and offers grades 1-12. Discovery school is the only school of its kind on Vancouver Island.
